About the Author

Full Blooded Pit, better know as E-Dogg, is from Carson, California. Growing up, thanks to his mother, he acquired a knack for writing and the use of correct diction because she would correct him and make him repeat the right way any word or phrase which he said wrong until it sank in.

While incarcerated at High Desert State Prison in California, he met a teacher named Mrs. Goss. She enjoyed reading anything and everything he wrote, such as essays and short stories, so much that she encouraged him to write a novel. When he graduated from her class with a G.E.D, she used her influence within the prison to land him a job in the prison law library where he had access to the Internet to do research as well as typewriters to type his manuscript.

The first novel available to you from Tortoise Publishing — My Hood, Your Barrio, His Beat — was handwritten in ink and then typed on a manual typewriter, all behind the confines of the electric razor wire fences, steel bars, and cinder blocks of a high security level 4 California State Penitentiary. The author has either heard through word on the streets and jails, seen with his own two eyes, or personally done everything you are about to read in this novel. As a result, he has dripped his blood, sweat, and tears into one big puddle for your enjoyment. The names have been changed to protect the guilty.

Full Blooded Pit is currently serving a 20 year bid for two counts of attempted murder with the use of a firearm for the benefit of a street gang. He has been locked up for 10 years and is scheduled to be released in 2021.
